projects with public administrations...

Opus RSE collaborates with many national and local administrations in Europe, to improve air quality. For many years and in many projects, Opus RSE has used RSD technology to measure real-driving emissions. This is the only way to know empirically what is the contribution from the traffic to air pollution.

The most important applications of RSD technology for public administrations are:

  • Characterization of real-driving emissions: understand the real and empirical emissions from traffic and create efficient mobility policies.
  • Awareness campaign: inform drivers in real-time about their real emissions while driving.
  • High Emitters identification: identify the small percentage of the fleet that contributes substantially to total polluting emissions.
  • On-road emissions tests: “All Member States shall carry out roadside inspections of vehicles circulating on their territory" according to the European Commission. Authorities can find drivers with cheating devices.
